The 1st and 2nd Semester courses of study are designed as a common foundation for all three disciplines, providing students with essential knowledge and practical skills in filmmaking.
From the subsequent semesters, the curriculum becomes discipline-specific, while important subjects such as Direction and Film & Television Production are taught to ensure a comprehensive learning experience.
This approach enables students not only to specialize in their respective fields but also to develop the capability to become independent filmmakers. In the final semester, students are encouraged to direct a film of 10–12 minutes duration.
BPFTIO is equipped with advanced and sophisticated equipment in the Eastern Region, and all disciplines are guided by experienced faculty members. The institute has a strong placement record, with students securing opportunities in Government and Private sectors, media channels, and the film & television industry.
