Shibu Prusty
Shibu Prusty, from the Cinematography discipline, has earned national recognition for his contribution to cinema.
With a strong passion for filmmaking, he has focused on projects rooted in art and cultural themes.
TODAY HE IS A NATIONAL AWARD-WINNING FILMMAKER, honored with the Rajat Kamal in the Art & Culture category.
He received the award as Best Director-cum-Producer for his film “The Lord of the Universe.”
He was presented this prestigious honor at the National Film Awards ceremony in 2016.
Ashutosh Pattanaik
Sri Ashutosh Pattanaik, an alumnus of BPFTIO (Cinematography, 2014–2017), has earned national recognition for his contributions to cinema. Driven by a deep interest in visual storytelling, he has created films centered on art and cultural themes.
TODAY HE IS A NATIONAL AWARD-WINNING FILMMAKER, recognized for his feature film “Shrikshetra-Ru-Sahijata”, which won the National Film Award for Best Art and Culture Film. His success showcases the strong academic foundation and creative training imparted at BPFTIO.
He was honored with this prestigious award at the 67th National Film Awards ceremony on 25.10.2021 in New Delhi.
Sameer Kumar Patra
Sameer Kumar Patra, from a middle-class family in Bhanjanagar, Ganjam, was inspired by his parents, Mr. Subash Ch. Patra and Mrs. Sanjukta Dash, to pursue a career in film.
He completed his Diploma in Sound & Television Engineering from BPFTIO, Cuttack in 2000 and began his career in Mumbai as an assistant sound recordist.
TODAY HE IS A FREELANCE AUDIOGRAPHER & SOUND DESIGNER IN THE MUMBAI FILM INDUSTRY, contributing to films like Fukrey, Khoobsurat, and Sarkar 3, earning approximately ₹15–20 lakhs annually.
Chandra Sekhar Rath
Mr. Chandra Sekhar Rath, from a middle-class family in Bhubaneswar, is an alumnus of BPFTIO (Cinematography, 1997).
Through perseverance and dedication, he overcame early struggles in Mumbai and built a strong foundation in the film industry.
TODAY HE IS AN ENTREPRENEUR IN THE FILM INDUSTRY, running his own production house, Rajlaxmi Productions, in Mumbai.
He has worked as a cinematographer in several films, including “Blue Mountains” and “New Horizon,” which have received multiple awards.
He has established a successful career with an annual income of approximately ₹25–30 lakhs.
Debasis Mohanty
Debasis Mohanty, from a middle-class family in Cuttack, is an alumnus of BPFTIO (Film & Video Editing, 2003). With a strong interest in editing, he developed his skills and built a career in the media industry.
TODAY HE IS WORKING AS PRINCIPAL VIDEO EDITOR AT CNN NEWS18, MUMBAI, contributing to leading national news production. His professional journey reflects dedication, technical expertise, and creative growth in the field of editing.
His achievement highlights the quality training and industry exposure provided at BPFTIO. He has established a stable career with an annual income of approximately ₹15 lakhs.
Rajesh Das
Rajesh Das, from a lower middle-class family in Kakatpur, Puri, is an alumnus of BPFTIO (Film & Video Editing, 2005). With dedication and perseverance, he developed his skills and built a strong presence in the Odia film industry.
TODAY HE IS A FREELANCE FILM EDITOR IN THE ODIA FILM INDUSTRY, having worked on more than 15 films, including “Superstar,” “Pilata Bigidi Gala,” “Love U Hamesha,” and “Khusi.”
His achievement reflects the professional training and creative excellence nurtured at BPFTIO.
He has earned the State Award for Best Editor for the film “Khusi,” with an annual income of approximately ₹10–15 lakhs.
Rashmi Ranjan Dash
Rashmi Ranjan Dash, from a lower middle-class family, is an alumnus of BPFTIO (Sound & TV Engineering, 2003).
With dedication and technical expertise, he built a strong career in sound and audio production.
TODAY HE IS WORKING AS A FILM SURROUND SOUND MIXING ENGINEER-CUM-MUSIC RECORDIST, contributing to films and music projects.
He owns a post-production sound mixing studio, Milan Studio, based in Cuttack.
His journey reflects professional skill, consistency, and industry experience developed over the years.
He has established a stable career with an annual income of approximately ₹10–15 lakhs.
