Overview

The Department of Cinematography is equipped with Multi Camera setups, Blackmagic URSA Digital Film Camera systems, Panasonic P2 Full HD camcorders, 16mm & 35mm film cameras, and digital video cameras.

An air-conditioned shooting floor supports professional multi-camera recording. Cinematography is the art of visual storytelling, where ideas are transformed into compelling images.

Practical Exposure

Students gain strong practical exposure by working with still cameras to high-end digital cinema systems, preparing them for real-world production environments.

After successful completion of the Cinematography course, students get opportunities to work as Camera Persons, Cinematographers and Visual Imaging Professionals across a wide range of media and production industries.

Graduates can be absorbed in various television channels of the State as well as National and International networks such as Doordarshan, Star Network, Sony, Colors, Lok Sabha TV, Rajya Sabha TV and other reputed broadcast platforms.

Opportunities are also available in Government organizations and institutions like DRDO, ISRO, Film Division and other public sector media units.
